Defrag TI - v1.0

[Screenshot]

If this software is cool or useful to you, consider a small donation to the programmer! There is *no* need to pay to download and enjoy this software! But it's a lot of work and I do it in my so-called spare time, so a couple of dollars would be really appreciated! :)

TIDIR is a great little tool that allows viewing and extracting files from TI99 disk images. However, it has a bug that causes problems if the files are heavily fragmented. (NOTE: This is now reported fixed as of TIDir 4.3c)

This command line app will defragment the disk image for you. It's not perfect (for instance, it leaves the disk marked as completely full), but it fits most of my needs!

Note that this is a Windows program, but I've put it in the TI section anyway.

Notes

  • After defragment, disk bitmap is marked as full, so the disk can not be written to
  • Some images still generated errors in TIDIR, unsure if that was him or me
  • Renames original to *.old. If the *.old file already exists, no action is taken.
